Ancient Greek culture must have been really different than our current culture (discounting Hollywood red carpets, of course). It was difficult finding a statue that was fully clothed. So many of the stock images had the togas artfully draped to show some part of their private anatomy. I like keep my published work G-rated.
The dawn sky and statue are both from AdobeStock. The wings (starter PFCC image for the last week in August) was from Pixabay. I had to add marble textures to the wings as well as some color layers to make them resemble the statue. I created an overcast sun behind the statue and then I added rim light from the sun around her. Thankfully the shadows on the goddess went well with the with the sky and dim sun.
This image embodies serenity for me. I’ve got another coming a a few weeks that will, give the exact opposite feeling. Something for you to look forward to.
The potters for the SCAA Potters Market started loading in their work today. The GIF below is the last entry on our mini website, which tells some of the story of Artie the cat, our mascot. Be sure to drop by the Art Center next weekend. It will be a wonder place to pick up unique and unusual gifts for you family and friends. Friday, October 14, 10 am-7 pm; Saturday, October 15, 10 am-5 pm: Sunday, October 17, 10 am-3 pm.
Take care and stay well.
